On the last Thursday of each month, a different host will lead a session designed to inspire you with your sketchbook practice.
Month Three: Thursday 30th July
For our July Sketchbook Club, Suffolk artist and illustrator, Hannah Huntly will host the evening with the theme ‘Play, experiment, explore’.
Hannah of HH Studio will lead a relaxed and inspiring session inviting you to use your sketchbook as a space to play, experiment, and explore.
Working with the theme of plants and pots, you'll explore how a sketchbook can become a place to develop ideas through making multiple drawings inspired by the subject.
Through a series of guided prompts, you'll experiment with different ways of seeing and drawing - varying your line, materials, scale and approach.
This session is about discovering new possibilities and enjoying the process.
Perfect for all abilities, this is a chance to step away from pressure and embrace the value of playful exploration.
Important: A selection of simple drawing materials will be provided for you to use on the night but you are welcome to bring your own along too. Sketchbooks themselves are not included in the workshop price so please make sure to bring your own sketchbook along!
A hot drink from the Thrive coffee shop is included in your ticket, and there will be cake available to purchase on the night if you wish.
