Join Suffolk maker Lovely Lydia for a morning of creativity, discover the art of fabric printing. You will have the option to print a set of napkins, a tea towel or a tote bag, ready for Spring. This would also make the perfect gift for Mother's Day!
Open to all abilities, all materials will be provided.
Printing is not just for paper! Printing to fabrics is a fab way of imprinting your unique style on accessories that can adorn your home or take out and about with you. This workshop is a perfect way to give fabric printing a try and have fun at the same time! Everyone will have scrap fabric to practise on, then four blank cotton hemmed napkins, a tea towel or a tote bag to print during the workshop and take home.
The workshop is hosted by Lydia, a fabric printer, maker and dressmaker from Orford.
Lydia runs her own micro business printing and making personal and home accessories inspired by the corner of Coast and Country where she lives. Her prints are adorned with hares and seed heads, as well as Lobsters, Crabs and Mermaids.
With her experience and guidance you'll spend the morning printing using her huge range of wooden printing blocks and linocut designs, with a rainbow of paint colours to play and experiment with. A great creative way to spend a morning and go away with new skills that can take you all sorts of places.
